A Word
From the Governing Council
“The Governing Council at Mount Compass Area School is committed to fostering a safe, welcoming and inspirational learning environment where our students can achieve their full potential and become confident leaders in our community and beyond. The Governing Council is supported by motivated parents who volunteer time to enable the school to offer various groups such as Parents and Friends, Canteen, School Farm and Out of School Hours Care. If you would like to become involved, make a suggestion or ask any questions please contact the Governing Council via the front office.”

A Bit about
Parents & Friends
Parents & Friends are a friendly group who meet regularly to discuss and support the involvement of the school community within Mount Compass Area School.
What We Do
We assist with fundraising, support during school events and by offering a means of contact between home and school. Some of our current adventures include : Staff Lunch, organisation of a free obstacle course at the last community market, Junior School Disco, Sports Day decoration stall, Mother’s & Father’s Day stalls, Donuts for different events, Bunnings and market sausage sizzles.
Where Do The Funds Go?
Money raised helps the school community by funding special projects that make a difference in the school. Requests for projects can come from students, teachers or parents. All projects are considered by the Parents & Friends committee. Some previous projects include : the verandah outside R/1 classrooms, buddy benches, Year 3/4 gardening kit, ongoing support of Breakfast Club and outdoor tables for extra seating.
